Observing the United Nations’ International Women’s Day annually serves as a reminder of our dedication to empowering young girls to aspire for greatness, particularly in their academic pursuits.
Distinguished speakers for this year’s event included Ms. Oyindamola Olagunju, Robotic Consultant and Special Advisor to the Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy; Mrs. Nana Maidugu, Head of Sustainability and ESG at the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA); and Mrs. Onyinye Ndubuisi, Gender & Human Rights Programme Lead at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Nigeria.
Their collective message emphasised the imperative for students to seize the educational opportunities afforded by their parents’ investments and remain steadfast in their academic endeavours to guarantee accelerated progress.
As our Founder, Mrs. Amaka Ndoma-Egba once said, “Start-Rite Schools will continue to focus on creating enabling environments where girls are made to realise that education is their only path to self-sufficiency and is a strategic development priority. We will continue to empower them with the necessary skills and leadership opportunities where their voices would be heard and counted.”
