Over the years Start-Rite Schools has built a reputation amongst industry and educators, locally and globally, as an award-winning school well-known for high academic standards, values-based education and creative excellence.
In our primary school, the curriculum is designed to enrich the learning experiences of the pupils from Years 1 to 6. The programme we run, provides a rich classroom environment where children are encouraged to explore and challenged to learn, while making friends and developing self-confidence. They strengthen their cognitive skills with fun memory games in which they match objects that share similar characteristics. Since children learn best by doing, we provide opportunities for hands-on experiences.
To ensure every day is a great day for your child, our caring, experienced teachers create activities that combine both learning and fun. Our curriculum is organised into theme-based units, beginning with topics most familiar to children. As children develop their skills and confidence, our teachers address more complex topics. These thematic units, prompt discussion about the world and do so in an enthusiastic environment. Each unit incorporates languages, mathematics, science, creative arts, music, motor skills and social development.
Group time is also an integral part of a child’s day at Start-Rite Schools. Children are invited to listen, share, take turns, co-operate, demonstrate curiosity and give feedback. These social development skills support a child’s ability to flourish in a classroom environment and demonstrate new learning while having fun!
In addition to our enriched curriculum which includes Reading, Languages, Arts, Mathematics, Basic Science & Technology, ICT, Social Studies, Music and Physical Education. Start-Rite Schools provides Learning Support in the areas of English and Mathematics.
Learning Support is a short term support program designed to assist with progress. This ensures an equal opportunity for success by addressing barriers to and promoting engagement in learning.
