Education USA Seminar

Start-Rite Schools believes in being prepared and the earlier the better.  Despite the students being in Year 7 and 8 we are already working with the students on their academic portfolios with a view to attending universities.  It may seem too early to think about university applications, but it requires about two years of planning to adequately prepare university applications, and that is after you have narrowed down the university.

With this in mind on Friday 5th July 2019,  Folashade Adebayo, EducationUSA Advisor to the United States (US) Embassy, Abuja came to the school to speak to Years 7 and 8 students on applying for universities in the future and gave advise on how to prepare and apply to the US to study on a full scholarship.

Folashade Adebayo has been advising Nigerian students for over nine years and is responsible for professional advising and placement of Nigerian students and third-country nationals. Over the years her advisees have been able to attend selective schools in the US with various kinds of funding.

Folashade Adebayo is a member of  United States Achievers Programme (USAP) who aims to build a cohort of openminded, skilled and well-educated future leaders to have a positive impact on their country of origin.

The students and parents were excited to know that they could get advice and support through their connection with Start-Rite Schools.
