Children learn about their world through play and an important part of play for young children is play with parents. Children learn so much from play; they pick up and practice numeracy concepts like addition and subtraction, telling time and understanding schedules. On the 14th July 2019, the Early Years team welcomed Parents to a fun-filled ‘Play Date’. Parents were encouraged to let their inner child run free and engage the children by telling a story, playing a game, singing and dancing or working at word searches with their child and become an active part of their child’s learning. Children and Parents had fun and enjoyed quality time bonding and from the smiles, it was a hit with all!
Start-Rite is a family school and we recognise that most parents want to be involved in their child’s learning and development, however, very often are not quite sure how to get involved. The School Calendar has regularly scheduled family learning activities to allow you to be involved and hands-on in your child’s learning and experiences at school.
A big thank you, for your support and we look forward to seeing you again!
